Pool table moving, installation and recovering across Columbus and Franklin County.
Here at Columbus Pool Table Movers, we understand that the most important part of buying a new or used pool table is how well that it is put together. We have set up thousands of pool tables throughout the years and have seen everything. Some of the tools that we use to ensure the highest level of quality include a machinist level for accurate leveling, a beeswax mixed with resin compound for filling in holes and seams, and composite wood shims that are moisture resistant and don't compress as easily as traditional cedar shims. We proudly serve all of Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas.
At Columbus Pool Table Movers, we specialize in pool table move, pool table setup or installation, and pool table recover. Feel free to give us a call with any questions that you may have.
A slate table comes apart into a frame, a bed in sections and a set of rails, and around Columbus those pieces are nearly always heading down. The finished basement is the standard home for a table here, and in the newer suburbs it is a good one: a straight flight, decent width, a slab underneath, and enough room that a nine foot table is a real option rather than a squeeze.
The stair is still the thing to measure. Straight helps, but width at the bottom and the door at the foot of it decide whether a three piece bed goes down comfortably or awkwardly, and whether a single slab goes down at all.
This city also moves tables more often than most, because a large rented population moves house on a calendar rather than a whim. A table that has been taken apart and put back together several times needs its hardware checked rather than assumed, and that is worth saying when you book.
Moving if the table is changing address, installation if it is staying put, recovering if the cloth has had enough.
Taken to pieces, hauled and rebuilt true downstairs at the far end.
Put together, packed level and clothed where it already sits.
Spent cloth off bed and rails, new cloth fitted, slate read while open.
Three inputs set the price. The table: size, and one slab of slate or three. The route: the flight, its width, the door at the foot of it, and the walk from the door to the truck. The room: where it lands and what the floor does underneath it.
A basement slab is the steadiest floor a table will ever sit on and it still needs packing out, because a slab is poured to shed water rather than to play billiards on. The shimming is the job, not a sign of a problem.
If the stair or the basement door rules out the table you have in mind, that belongs in the quote conversation rather than the moment a bed section stops halfway down.
